I was bored today, so i decided to make something. After making it, I realized I kind of made it so that the class is only really good if you have the Primary Attribute, Foresight.

Class Name: Weaver
Damage/Support
Caster Armor
High Energy
Mid-Range

Description:
The Weaver profession uses ancient powers granted by the Fates themselves. Their ability of Foresight allows them to see the future and effectively altering it through their use of Fortune Weaving and Fate Weaving to aid allies or harm enemies. They are highly proficient in the utilization of Throwing Knives in order to help them achieve their goal.

Weapons:

Throwing Knives (Mid-Ranged)
Piercing Damage: 5-15 (Requires ___ Knife Mastery)
One Handed Weapon

Armor: 60
Energy: 30, +4 Regeneration

Attributes:

Foresight: (Primary)
For every rank in Foresight, the effects of all Weaving Skills are increased by 2%. (I List What Is Effected in Bold Text)

Fate Weaving:
No Inherent Effect. Most Fate Weaving skills tend to deal negative effects to a single enemy.

Fortune Weaving:
No Inherent Effect. Most Fortune Weaving skills tend to aid allies.

Knife Mastery:
No Inherent Effect. Knife Mastery skills deal ranged damage to foes.

Skills:

Foresight:

Anticipation (Skill): 5 Energy/ 0 Cast Time / 15 Recharge
For 1…5 Seconds you have a 75% chance to block incoming attacks and all adjacent allies have a 50% chance to block.

Future Sight (Skill):10 energy / 0 Cast Time / 45 Recharge
For 15 Seconds your attacks cannot be blocked and you deal +5…15 Damage with Knives.

Momentary Weakness (Hex-Spell): 5 Energy / 1 Cast / 20 Recharge
For 1...4 Seconds Target Foe receives +10% Damage from all sources.

Planned Death (Skill): 5 Energy / 0 Cast Time / 45 Second Recharge
For 30 Seconds if damage drops your health below 10% Planned Death ends and you regain 50…150 Health and your Maximum Health is increased by 10…75 for 5 Seconds.

Heed Omen (Skill): 5 Energy / 0 Cast Time / 10 Second Recharge
For 2 Seconds you take 25% less damage. When Heed Omen ends you are Healed for 50…150 Health.

Fate Weaving:

Destiny's End (Hex-Spell): 10 Energy / 2 Cast / 30 Recharge
For 1…5 Seconds target foe is Hexed with Destiny’s end. If target’s Health is below 50% all of your Weaving Skills that target that foe takes 50% less time to cast.

Shear Thread (Hex-Spell): 10 Energy / 2 Cast / 15 Recharge
For 5…10 Seconds target foe’s maximum Health is decreased by 20% and reduces healing that they receive by 20%. Shear Thread ends if Foe is suffering from a condition.

Entangle Threads (Hex-Spell):10 Energy / 2 Cast / 15 Recharge
For 3…7 Seconds target foe and nearby foes move 66% slower.

Entwine Threads (Hex-Spell):10 Energy / 2 Cast / 10 Recharge.
For 5 Seconds target foe is Hexed with Entwining Threads. Any damage that enemy receives is also received by adjacent foes. Any healing that enemy receives is also received by adjacent foes.

Lachesis’ Decision (Elite Spell):10 Energy / 2 Cast / 15 Recharge
Target foe either takes 25…50 Damage and suffers from Weakness, Blind, Daze and Cripple for 2…6 Seconds or is Healed for 25…50 Health and takes 20% less damage for 5 seconds.

Fortune Weaving:

Extend Thread (Spell): 5 Energy / 1 Cast / 2 Recharge
Target other Ally is Healed for 25…50 Health.

Purifying Threads (Spell): 5 Energy / 1 Cast / 5 Recharge
Cleanse yourself and adjacent allies of Poison, Disease and an additional Condition. Allies are healed for 20…45 Health for each condition removed this way.

Misleading Thread (Enchantment Spell): 5 Energy / 1 Cast / 3 Recharge
For 5 Seconds target other Ally is Enchanted with Misleading Thread. The next time that Ally would receive damage, it is reduced by 50% and you take the damage.

Steel Thread (Enchantment Spell): 10 Energy / 1 Cast / 20 Recharge
For 10 Seconds you are Enchanted with Steel Thread. Damage you receive is reduced by 2…10% and you move 50% slower.

Clotho’s Redemption (Elite Spell): 10 Energy / 2 Cast / 0 Recharge
Target Ally is Resurrected with Full Health and Energy and for 20…30 Seconds Target Ally receives 10% less damage. If Target ally dies before Clotho’s Redemption ends party is Hexed with Clotho’s Condemnation. Every time an ally is Resurrected, Clotho’s Redemption takes an additional 10 seconds to recharge. (Recharge is reset after every zone / morale boost)
Clotho’s Condemnation (Hex Side Effect):
For 120…90 Seconds allies are Hexed with Clotho’s Condemnation, they receive 20% less Healing and can only be resurrected by Clotho’s Redemption.

Knife Mastery:

Swift Throw (Knife Attack): 5 Energy / 1 Cast / 5 Recharge
Deals +10…15 Damage. This attack travels twice as fast and cannot be blocked.

Poison Sting (Knife Attack): 5 Energy / 8 Recharge
If it hits, target foe is poisoned for 3…13 seconds

Sever Ties (Knife Attack):5 Energy / 10 Recharge
Deals +5…15 Damage and removes one enchantment. If an Enchantment is lost this way, this attack deals an additional 10…20 Damage and causes bleeding for 4…14 seconds.

Puncture Foot (Knife Attack): 5 Energy / 15 Recharge
If it hits, target is Crippled for 4…8 Seconds.

Atropos’ Loathing (Melee Knife Attack): 5 Energy / 5 Recharge
Deals +10…15 Damage. If it hits a target with less than 75% Health that foe suffers from Deep Wound for 5…7 seconds. If it hits a target with less than 50% Health this attacks deals +15…20 Damage. If target is below 25% Health this attack has 10% Armor Penetration. You suffer from Weakness, Cripple, and Blind for 10 Seconds.

how about a profesion where u could change your primarry profession to all others as well as your secondary,like u are monking now,got tired and want to bash stuff with a hammer,simple change main profession grab hammer from inv equip build and all done,one problem i see with this is the armors because of the different looks and diiferent AL.

Firstly, the expression is 'to spin fate' not 'to weave fate' I for one think Fate Spinner sounds cooler than Weaver, but I to each his own I suppose.
Also the primary is somewhat redundant. I mean, why would I spend points to increase the bolded numbers that are in every skill affected by attribute, meanig that if I put the points int hat attribute instead they go up more.(effectively giving me 6% more power per point, or 1/16th instead of 2%)

Other than that some of the hexes are interesting and cool also quite original, I like Entwined Thread especially.
Opposed to the knife attacks which are pretty generic, except for the loathing one.(which is pretty OP when combined with [skill=text]Plague Sending[/skill])

Lachesis’ Decision, would need a PvP version as PvPers have a well fed hatred of randomness.

All in all, the weaving is good stuff, good job zhang. The precognition based primary and skills need a little work but have potential. I don't get the knife...

Ok this time I know it isn't the foreign char bug :/ why can't I use BB code? I verified it isn't my browser blocking it, is there a setting somewhere on the forums that messes it up for me?

Oh nevermind, found a post in the forum bugs section stating that BB code has apparently been dead for 4 weeks, after Guru got hacked.

I know the numbers probably would not be considered "final", but IMO Future Sight is UBER HAXXORZ. It's like Warrior's Cunning(alright it's underpowered) except a lot stronger, especially since this char is ranged. Overall excellent concept sounds really awesome!

i havn't checked this thread in a long time, but thanks for all the feedback =)

just in response to a couple

- i made knife attacks generic so it wouldn't seem to far-fetched/overpowered and to go along with what already works in the game (i have a limited imagination lol)
- i like weaver, but to each his own lol =P
- i also tried to make it so that people couldn't (or at least it would be harder) to make a knife-only based char, would be decent as a secondary but as weaver primary, would have to rely in conjunction with weaving to become more effective
-foresight makes it so that although weaving skills can work as with secondary, they can only be fully used well as primary (though i kept the % low so it wouldn't be overpowered, but when i look back now it does look a little underpowered)

now if only anet hosted a design an archetype contest...lol but that's not happening any time soon is it?
